Real Madrid have sent their condolences to Aberdeen following the death of Gothenburg Great Neale Cooper.
The club’s director Emilio Butragueno has written a letter to Dons chairman Stewart Milne saying: “We want to be with you in these difficult moments.”

Cooper died at the age of 54 after sustaining injuries in a fall on Sunday.
He was a key player in Alex Ferguson’s squad which won the European Cup-Winners Cup in 1983 with a 2-1 victory over Real in Gothenburg.
Mr Butragueno said: “We are deeply shocked and saddened after hearing the news that Neale Cooper passed away yesterday.
“We are all very affected by this tragic loss and we want to be with you in these difficult moments.
“On behalf of our president, Florentino Perez, and all of us at Real Madrid FC please send our deepest condolences to Neale Cooper’s family and friends.
“He will be in our prayers and thoughts.”
