Firefighters spent more than three hours battling a blaze in the north-east overnight.
Crews were alerted to a fire involving between 500 and 1000 logs close to a property in Torphins shortly after 10pm.
Six appliances, including two water carriers and a welfare unit, were sent to the scene and more than 40 firefighters were involved in extinguishing the fire.
A spokesman for the fire service said: “The fire was contained with a timber stack and next to a property. The owner or the building were not in danger.”
After using three main jets, the firefighters stood down at 1.40am.
