The call was made at 12.30pm and units have been sent to Ballater to deal with the issue. It is unclear at this stage how many properties have been affected or how severe the problem is. The town was hit by severe flooding after the River Dee burst its banks at the turn of the year in 2016 when Storm Frank hit. A fire service spokeswoman said: “We are dealing with flooding in Ballater. “We were called at 12.30pm and have 2 units from Aboyne and Ballater.”
