Garioch Lions raft race makes a splash

Competitors made a splash yesterday at the annual Garioch Lions raft race.

The fundraising challenge, which takes place annually between Kemnay Academy’s playing fields and Davidson Park in Port Elphinstone, attracted a whole host of colourful characters in fancy dress on board homemade vessels.

Among those racing down the River Don were challengers dressed up as Santa Claus, a Christmas Tree, characters from the Disney hit Frozen and more.
