A teenager from Moray has been locked-up one week on from the birth of his baby after head-butting a police officer in Aberdeen.
Dylan Milne, of Park Road in Lhanbryde, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday after admitting attacking constable Rory Saunders in the city.
The 18-year-old assaulted the officer by “striking him on the head with his own head”, biting him on the body and spitting on him on April 30 last year.
He also admitted acting in a threatening or abusive manner during the same incident in Burnbrae Crescent by “picking up a brick” and struggling with police as they tried to place him in handcuffs.
Defence agent Ian Woodward-Nutt asked that Milne be allowed his liberty, saying: “My client and his partner have just had their first child and are dealing with the demands of having a week-old daughter.”
The accused was, however, told he would be remanded in custody until sentenced at the end of the month after twice failing to appear in court.
