A north-east teenager who brandished an axe at a woman and threatened to kill her is facing jail.
Connor Mathieson confessed to a string of offences against women during an appearance at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
The 19-year-old admitted to having sex with two underage girls at a property in the city.
He also confessed to a horrific series of abuse and violence against one of the females, which involved pushing her on a bed, restricting her breathing, wrapping a cable around her neck and causing her to lose consciousness, pinning her against a wall, holding an axe and threatening to kill her.
Mathieson also admitted to holding a knife against her head and punching her which caused her to sustain severe injuries.
His offences took place over a four-year period ending in August last year.
Following his confession, Sheriff Graeme Buchanan placed him on the sex offenders register and deferred sentenced on him in order to obtain reports.
Mathieson, of Mastrick Drive in Aberdeen, was remanded in custody and will return to court in August.
