Police are appealing for information after an alleged attack in Aberdeen last night.
A 43-year-old man suffered facial injuries during an assault near Roslin Store in the Urquhart Road area of the city at around 5.30pm.
The man was subsequently taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
PC Jennifer Urquhart of the divisional alcohol violence reduction unit, who is leading the investigation, said: “Officers have been carrying out house-to-house inquiries, however there may be people who were in the area at the time of the incident who have information but not yet spoken to the police.
“Please come forward if you think you can assist by calling 101.
“I would also like to thank the local community for their patience last night while inquiries were carried out.
“We are treating this as an contained incident with no threat to the wider public.”
