Detectives are investigating a near-£10,000 jewellery robbery from a north-east home.
A house in Hillview Road, Peterculter, was broken into at around 6pm on Thursday.
Police say the thieves also made off with close to £1,000 in Chinese Yen.
Officers want to speak to two men seen in the area around that time.
They are also appealing for anyone with private CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
Detective Sergeant Andrew Machray, who is leading the investigation, said: “Extensive enquiries are ongoing into this incident, which includes house-to-house enquiries in the area.
“We are particularly keen to know if you saw two men in the area around the time in question.
“Any details of suspicious activity including people or vehicles could be extremely helpful.”
He added: “Crime of this nature is extremely rare in this area, so when an incident like this is reported to police every effort is made to identify those responsible – it won’t be tolerated.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference 3144 of June 21.
