Firefighters were yesterday called to fight a blaze which started in a building at a disused Aberdeen school and spread to trees nearby.
Crews from the city’s central station, Alford and Kintore were sent to Cordyce Primary School, in Dyce, at about 2.30pm.
A spokesman for the service confirmed that the fire had broken out in a “small storage building” to the rear of the school and spread to nearby trees.
The incident was dealt with within about an hour.
Cordyce School, which closed last June, fell victim to a huge blaze last November and four teenagers were later detained in connection with that incident.
Six engines were sent to the scene and 32 firefighters spent several hours combating the flames.
