A 65-year-old woman has died after a crash involving two motorcycles in the north-east.
The A93 was closed between Braemar and the Spittal of Glenshee ski centre after the crash.
It happened at around 12.50pm and involved a white Triumph bike and a grey BMW bike. The woman is thought to have been a passenger on the BMW.
An investigation is underway and police have appealed for witnesses to contact them.
Sgt Peter Henderson said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved with this collision.
“Investigation into the circumstances is underway and I would appeal to anyone who has not already spoken to police and saw either vehicle in the lead up to this incident, or indeed the collision itself to contact Police Scotland.
“Likewise any motorist who may have dashcam footage which could assist with this inquiry are urged to come forward.”
