Police in Aberdeenshire are investigating an incident of vandalism within the grounds of Haddo House.
Two trees and a gate post were vandalised between 12.00pm and 2.30pm on Sunday, on a footpath close to the visitor centre heading towards the play areas.
The gate post and trees were removed from the ground and dumped nearby.
Investigating Officer Constable Scott Walmsley said “This act of vandalism has occurred during a busy weekend period, during broad daylight and whereby a number of people may have been visiting the area and regular visitors may have seen something unusual.
“We would like to appeal to the public to contact us if they saw anybody acting suspiciously in the area around these times and if anybody in the area was carrying any tools that may have assisted in them carrying out this crime.
“Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police on 101″.
