A young woman from the north-east has won an international competition for a picture celebrating the visiting circus.
Camryn Forman, an 18 year-old photography student from Peterhead, won the competition celebrating World Circus Day.
Zippos Circus, which is touring the UK and is currently performing in Peterhead, organised the competition and presented Miss Forman with a prize in the big tent on Monday night.
Miss Forman entered the contest at the start of this year by posting her picture about the circus on Instagram.
She said: “I won the global photographic competition that was in celebration of World Circus Day – marking 250 years since the circus was invented in the UK.
“I was delighted when I found out that the judge Peter Lavery selected my photograph and said he returned to my image ‘time and time again’.
“I took a photograph of the Zippos circus van with the big top behind it on the hill of the links.
“I didn’t think it would win so I’m delighted.”
Miss Forman is currently in her second year of an HND Photography course at the North East Scotland College in Aberdeen having taken pictures since she was 11 years old.
She hopes to study a photography degree at Robert Gordon’s University in the future.
Founder of Zippos Circus Martin Burton said: “We had a lot of interest in the competition from people all over the world and would like to thank everyone who took part.”
Judge Peter Lavery said: “This photo is outstanding; the scene evokes feeling, a story, a little timelessness.”
Miss Forman was presented with a copy of the Peter Lavery’s beautiful Circus Work book worth £60
