The A90 Aberdeen to Peterhead road has partially re-opened following a crash this afternoon involving two vehicles.
Police were called to the Toll of Birness on the A90 at around 3.50pm. The northbound carriageway remains closed while vehicle recovery takes place.
Fire and ambulance teams were also called to the scene of the crash just south of Toll of Birness just after 4pm.
The extent of the injuries of those involved in the crash are currently unknown, but they are not thought to be serious.
Fire fighters were at the scene and used cutting equipment to free one man who was trapped inside a vehicle.
As a result of the accident, the A90 has been closed between at Toll of Birness while emergency services deal with the scene.

A police spokeswoman said: “The A90 at the A952 Toll of Birness junction is currently closed northbound due to RTC. We are still at the scene and are awaiting vehicle recovery. We do not believe there have been any serious or life threatening injuries.”
