An Aberdeen restaurant has set up a free toy borrowing programme in a bid to clear up plastic waste on the beach.
The Highlander Cafe Bus, based on the Beach Esplanade, has launched a project to help provide parents with toys for their children to play with on the sand.
Owner Ramona Obafemi came up with the idea after noticing how much gets left behind on the beach.
The former oil and gas worker, who set up the cafe last year, hopes families will borrow the plastic toys then return them at the end of the day.
