An appeal for witnesses has been launched following an attempted robbery at the Sclattie Park Post Office in the Bucksburn area of Aberdeen earlier today.
Police were notified of the incident at 12.55pm.
Detective Inspector Stewart Drummond said: “Our inquiries are at a very early stage, however I would like to make an immediate appeal to anyone who was in the area of the post office and surrounding area to call us if they saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area, or if they saw anyone running away from the post office.
“A female has sustained a minor injury as a result of this incident and at this stage we don’t believing anything has been stolen”.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101.
