The crash happened on the A948 between New Deer and Auchnagatt at around 11.20am today. An elderly woman was trapped in her car as a result of the crash. Two fire appliances were also sent to the incident. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: “One female was trapped in her car. “We assisted with her removal from the vehicle and left her in the care of the ambulance service.” The road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
