A 75-year-old man has died after a car accident in the north-east this afternoon, police have confirmed.
Emergency services were made aware that a grey Ford Ka had collided with a wall at Berrywell Walk at around 2pm.
The driver of the vehicle was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by paramedics but died a short time later. Two other occupants of the car were uninjured.
Sergeant Keith Greig said: “My thoughts are with the family and friends of this gentleman at this very sad time – our officers have been supporting those who were also in the vehicle when this incident happened.
“The street was closed this afternoon while inquiries were carried out and will be open as soon as possible. Thank you to the local community for your patience and understanding.”
