The ambitious redevelopment of Aberdeen’s Broad Street will help “revitalise and transform” the area, a council spokeswoman said yesterday as the street reopened at last.
The £3.2 million project began last summer, and after delays, opened yesterday to buses and bicycles.
Concerns have been raised about pedestrians sharing the space with vehicles.
But the spokeswoman added: “Over the coming days, people will see an increase in the level of usage of it by local bus companies and we will continue to work with our partners and disability groups to gain invaluable feedback on this exciting new development for the city.”
