A north-east teenager who brandished an axe at a woman and threatened to kill her has been jailed for six years.
Connor Mathieson previously confessed to carrying out a string of offences against women at Aberdeen Sheriff Court where he returned yesterday to be sentenced.
The 19-year-old also had sex with two underage girls at a property in the city.
He targeted one of the women with abuse and violence, which involved pushing her on a bed, restricting her breathing, wrapping a cable around her neck and causing her to lose consciousness, pinning her against a wall, holding an axe to her body and threatening to kill her.
Mathieson also held a knife against her head and punched her, leaving his victim with severe injuries.
His offences took place over a four-year period, ending in August last year.
Yesterday, Sheriff Jack Brown jailed him for six years and placed him on the sex offenders register for life.
