Hundreds of homes in Aberdeen are have been hit by a power cut which is not expected to be resolved for more than two hours.
The fault was reported just after 2pm with 1300 customers affected.
Around 800 of these have had power restored but 500 remain without.
And SSE spokeswoman said: “Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) was alerted to a power cut at 2pm today in the Craigieburn area of Aberdeen following a fault on our network.
“Engineers are investigating the cause of the fault and power is being restored to customers in stages.
“SSEN apologises for any inconvenience caused and thanks its customers for their patience while our engineers work to safely restore their supply.”
