A teenager has been charged following the recovery of a stolen motorcycle in Aberdeen.
The vehicle was recovered on August 3 in the Northfield area of the city and the 18-year-old male was subsequently arrested and charged.
He is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today in connection with the recovered motorcycle and alleged road traffic offences.
He was snared by officers from Operation Armour, an operation targeting individuals involved in the theft and anti-social use of motorcycles within Aberdeen.
Sergeant Craig Murray, who is leading the initiative, said: “Following reports from the public and intelligence led work undertaken by my officers, a stolen motorcycle was recovered and an 18-year-old subsequently arrested and charged in connection.
“I would like to thank all those who assisted with this particular inquiry. I would continue to encourage the reporting of any suspicious activity or information relating to this type of crime by calling 101.”
