The woman had been crossing Wellington Road near the Tesco supermarket and has now been taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by paramedics. The incident took place at 3.45pm. A police spokesman confirmed that lengthy tailbacks had built up as the woman was treated and a stretch of the road was sealed off. The spokesman said he had no information on the severity of the woman’s injuries.
