An 82-year-old retired chief executive who exposed himself to two Aberdeen children waiting at a bus stop has avoided any punishment.
Henry McCulloch flashed the girls, aged 12 and 16, on Holburn Street earlier this year.
McCulloch, of South Avenue, Cults, previously admitted the offence, which happened on February 26, and returned to Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday for sentencing.
Defence agent Stuart Murray said his client had been a “pillar of the community” throughout his life, and had recently been diagnosed with front temporal dementia which may have caused the incident as he has lost his inhibitions as a result.
Sheriff Sukwinder Gill described the case as “highly unusual and exceptional”.
She added that while the experience must have been “frightening” for the two girls she was prepared to discharge McCulloch because he had shown remorse, he had no recollection of the incident, he was previously of good character and because of the diagnosis of dementia.
He was also removed from the sex offenders’ register.
