A 15-year-old boy has been charged following an alleged sexual assault near an Aberdeen river.
Police cordoned off part of the Donmouth yesterday morning following reports of the crime.
Officers confirmed a teenager had been arrested in connection yesterday.
He has now been charged and is expected to appear in court today.
A police spokeswoman said: “Police can confirm that a 15-year-old male who was arrested yesterday, August 16, in relation to an assault in the Donmouth area of Aberdeen has been charged in relation to an alleged sexual assault.
“The incident happened during the early hours of August 16, and the man is anticipated to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today, August 17.”
