A motorbike struck a lone sheep earlier this afternoon. The road was closed at 1.20pm to allow an air ambulance access to the motorcyclist. A police spokesman said: “The sheep is fine but the motorcyclist will need to be airlifted to hospital. “Emergency services are still at the scene, but the road is likely to open soon.” People attending the Braemar Gathering are encouraged to avoid the road and make alternative travel arrangements.
