A man has appeared in court after police recovered about £10,000 of drugs in Aberdeen.
Officers searched a property in Crombie Road in the city’s Torry area on Friday where they found cocaine and heroin.
Craig Hoey appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday charged with possession of the drugs and possession with intent to supply.
The 39-year-old made no plea and was remanded in custody.
He is expected to return to return to court next week.
Following the discovery, Detective Sergeant Andy Machray said a “significant amount of drugs” had been taken off the streets.
He said: “We are committed to disrupting the illegal supply of drugs in the north-east.
“This latest seizure means a significant amount of drugs has been removed from circulation where it could cause harm in the community.
“We continue to encourage anyone with concerns or information about the illegal supply of drugs to call police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
