A 28-year-old man has been charged in connection with alleged serious assaults in the Froghall Avenue of Aberdeen.
Officers received a report of an incident involving a 63-year-old man and a 24-year-old man at around 7.55pm on Monday evening.
Both were taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to be treated for injuries.
Froghall Avenue was cordoned off on Tuesday morning as police and forensic teams searched for evidence.
Police appealed to the public for information following the assault, and have now arrested a 28-year-old in connection with the crime.
He is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Monday.
