Fire crews have been redeployed to The Gramps near Kincorth for the second grass fire there this evening. Crews along with a forestry unit were initially sent to the scene just before 6.45pm. Fire-fighters used beaters and knapsacks to keep the flames at bay. It was extinguished just after 8.15pm. However another fire broke out at 10.20pm. A fire service spokeswoman confirmed that the forestry unit is back at the scene along with two crews from Altens. More follows.
