A man accused of approaching a nine-year-old girl in Aberdeen with a large piece of wood and making offensive comments has been remanded in the Royal Cornhill Hospital.
Police were called to Dill Road in Tillydrone on July 13 this year after reports a youngster was in distress.
Following this, Bartosz Mugenski appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged with causing the nine-year-old fear and alarm as well as being in a possession of a knife on Hayton Road on the same date.
The 36-year-old returned to court yesterday where his not guilty plea was accepted on the basis of mental disorder and he was acquitted.
Mugenski, of King’s Court in Aberdeen, was remanded to hospital.
