Toddlers at a north-east nursery school were overjoyed when they received a letter from a top comedian and children’s author.
The group of youngsters who attend Bright Horizons on Aberdeen’s St Swithins Street have recently become fans of books by Little Britain star, and Britain’s Got Talent judge, David Walliams.
They recently decided to send Mr Walliams a note, asking him to visit if he ever finds himself in the Granite City.
The letter stated: “Dear Mr Walliams, we have been reading your books and think they are really really funny.
“We all love them.”
The youngsters were delighted when the postman yesterday dropped off a response from the 47-year-old star.
While Mr Walliams did not confirm whether or not he would visit Bright Horizons, he did offer the children his thanks.
Mr Walliams said: “Thank you so much for writing to me. I am so pleased you enjoy my books as much as I love writing them.”
He added: “Keep reading, it’s good for you.”
