A 33-year-old who was injured at an Aberdeen car dealership has died after an incident involving a roller door.
Police were called to Specialist Cars Volkswagen on Craigshaw Crescent at around 8.45am on Saturday, September 15.
The man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries.
The contractor, who has been named by police as Mark Mathers of Inverurie, had been working on a roller door.
Police have now confirmed he died yesterday afternoon.
His family said: “We are devastated by what has happened.
“Mark will be sorely missed by all who knew him.”
Detective Inspector Norman Stevenson said: “Our thoughts are with Mark’s family at this very sad time.
“An investigation is ongoing in conjunction with Aberdeen City Council, and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.”
A spokeswoman for Specialist Cars Volkswagen said: “We are all saddened to hear about the tragic loss of Mark Mathers following the incident at our premises on Saturday morning.
“Our thoughts are with Marks’ family and friends at this terribly difficult time.
