Emergency services have been called to Tullos Hill and Redmoss to deal with incidents on multiple occasions this month. And following the spate of blazes, Ryan Smith appeared in Aberdeen Sheriff Court where he faced four charges of wilful fireraising. He made no plea and was remanded in custody after being charged with having a knife in a public place. It is expected that Mr Smith will return to court next week. Inspector Chris Kerr of the Torry Community Policing Team urged anyone with information about the fires to get in touch. He said: “We are very grateful for the information that we have received from members of the public so far. “I would urge anyone who thinks they may have encountered any suspicious activity in the area during this period to contact us on 101.”
