Man dies after falling from bridge in Aberdeen

A man who fell from a bridge in Aberdeen last night has died.

Emergency services were called to Union bridge at 6.30pm amid reports that a man had fallen onto the railway tracks beneath.

A police spokeswoman today confirmed the man died from his injuries.

Denburn Road was closed at both ends as ambulance crews arrived to treat the man, who was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

The railway line was also closed but reopened afterwards.
