A north-east man has been accused of fraudulently obtaining more than £16,000.
Barry Alexander, 47, allegedly used his position as an employee of U-E-J Duotool Limited in Ellon to offer discounted goods and pretend to other traders and customers that he was acting on behalf of the company and get them to pay money into his bank account.
Among the traders he is said to have defrauded included include SRC Plumbing and Heating, A Duguid Electrical, Kevin Gibb Joinery, Anderson Agri Services and JG Kellas.
The alleged offence took place between September 2016 and August 2017.
Alexander, of Slains Court, Peterhead, denied the charge when the case called at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday. The case will call again in December.
