Minthaka Patabedige, known as Vass, was last seen near Fraserburgh Harbour at around 2pm on Friday afternoon.
Footage released by investigators shows Mr Patabedige walking through Fraserburgh hospital on October 5, where he was treated for a minor facial injury.
Police have described the 40-year-old’s disappearance as “out of character.”
When last seen Mr Patabedige was wearing a black jacket and carrying a bag.
Inspector Kevin Goldie said: “It is out of character for Minthaka not to be in touch with his colleagues and there is concern for his well-being.
“Minthaka works in the fishing industry and we are specifically appealing to anyone who may have seen him in the Fraserburgh harbour area or the town centre area during the afternoon of Friday to contact us.
“The CCTV image was captured at Fraserburgh hospital on 5 October where Minthaka had attended for a minor facial injury following an accident on board the boat he works on.”
Police describe Mr Patabedige as being 5ft 2ins and having a slim build and short brown hair.
