Officers were sent to the store on Heathryfold Crescent at around 2.25pm yesterday. A woman working there at the time had to receive medical treatment, but police confirmed she had not suffered any serious injuries. Just five minutes beforehand police were called to a shop on nearby Marchburn Drive where a “small quantity” of alcohol was reported stolen. A 41-year-old man has been arrested in connection with both events. Detective Sergeant Stephen Beattie said: “I would like to thank those who assisted at the scene which enabled officers to take quick action.”
