An Aberdeen man has been charged with attempted murder following an incident at a city shop last week.
The Nisa Local on Heathryfold Circle was taped-off by police on Thursday afternoon following an alleged attempted robbery.
A female shop worker was injured in the incident.
Yesterday, 41-year-old Joseph Bissett appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court in connection with a number of offences, including attempted murder and assaulting a police officer.
A petition also alleged he stole a “small amount” of alcohol from a nearby shop on Marchburn Drive that same day.
Bissett, whose general address was given in court papers as Aberdeen, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody.
He is expected to re-appear before a sheriff within the next eight days.
