An Aberdeen children’s charity is preparing to launch an eight-week fundraising challenge in the style of the hit TV show The Apprentice.
Charlie House, which supports children with complex and life-limiting conditions across the north-east, has designed its new project for teams working in local businesses.
Teams participating in the “Venture 2019” campaign will be tasked with securing £100 of initial funding from their employers and transforming it into as much cash as possible over an eight-week period, with all money raised going to the organisation’s proposed specialist support centre.
The project will culminate in a special awards ceremony at Ardoe House on March 28 next year, where teams will be recognised for their achievements such as Most Supportive Team Lead, Most Innovative Fundraising Idea, Greatest Team Spirit and more.
The judging panel will include prominent local businessman Bob Keiller, the former chief executive of Wood Group.
Mr Keiller said: “Venture 2019 is not only a fantastic team-building and engagement exercise for local organisation,s but also provides an excellent opportunity to practice and improve your entrepreneurial skills in a fun way.
“Most importantly, not only will teams help raise vital funds for the Charlie House specialist support centre but also help spread awareness about the charity and the work they do.”
