An Aberdeen man has been granted Freedom of the City of London.
The prestigious honour is bestowed to valued members of the community and visitors to the city.
Iain Anderson, co-founder and executive chairman at communications agency Cicero, picked up the freedom yesterday.
Born in Aberdeen in 1968 and educated in Robert Gordon’s College and St Andrews University, Mr Anderson was visibly overjoyed at receiving the honour.
Mr Anderson has over 25 years’ experience in communications, initially as a business journalist and then as a founding shareholder at Incisive Media.
He regularly contributes to national and international print and broadcast media including Sky News and BBC.
He has also worked for a range of politicians, including Kenneth Clarke MP, on leadership bids – and was recently ranked in the Total Politics Top 100 Lobbyists.
Outside of his day to day work, he also is “proud” to be a Stonewall ambassador, Arsenal season ticket holder and self-proclaimed opera nut.
