A safety campaign to inform the public about the dangers of bonfires and fireworks has been carried out.
Police have worked together with local councils in the north-east and the fire service as part of Operation Fawkes to help improve public safety.
Sergeant Rob McLean said: “At this time of year, many people want to enjoy all festivities associated with Bonfire night and, alongside partners, we want to ensure that everyone has a safe and enjoyable time.
“Over the course of the weekend and Bonfire night itself, officers will be out on high visibility patrols in local towns across the north-east to help deter any anti-social behaviour and wilful fire-raising incidents that may arise.
“From a safety point of view, we would always encourage people to enjoy fireworks responsibly and attend organised displays.
“As well as the fireworks display hosted by Aberdeen City Council at the beach, there are numerous organised displays being held across Aberdeenshire and Moray.
“I would remind anyone planning to hold their own private family or friends display that it is an offence to set fireworks off after 11pm.”
