A man was injured and taken to hospital following a six-vehicle crash last night.
The accident happened at the junction of Ashley Road and St Swithin Street in Aberdeen at 6.40pm.
Police were called to the scene following reports of several cars being involved in a crash.
The cars included a Mitsubishi, Nissan Qashqai, a Peugeot and two Volkswagen Golfs.
One man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary but the extent of his injuries are yet unknown.
The owner of the damaged Mitsubishi revealed the car – which had been parked on Ashley Road at the time of the incident – had been recently been hired.
Her own car was also damaged on the street last month.
The woman, who did not want to be named, said: “Everyone in my family is OK fortunately. The car is a hire, because a similar thing happened in September – my old car was parked in the street and crashed into.”
The stretch of road between Union Grove and Ashley Gardens remained closed for over an hour while the vehicles were recovered from the scene and debris cleared from the road.
A police spokesman said: “We were called to the scene at 6.40pm and alerted fire and ambulance services.
“It was thought to be three-vehicle collision, but it transpired that there were actually six cars involved.
“One man was seen by paramedics and taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, but his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.”
