Three appliances are at the scene after receiving reports of the fire at 7.35am. One appliance from Macduff and two further appliances from Banff and Portsoy are in attendance. No one was on board at the time of the incident. Troup councillor Mark Findlater said it was lucky no one was injured in the fire. He said: “Praise has to be given to the harbour master for alerting the emergency services and to the fire crews for responding so promptly. “Fire’s at vessels can be a serious matter due to the fuel and other goods on board so it’s good this fire was contained quickly. “Thankfully the boat was in the harbour and it could be dealt with safely.”
