Sir Elton John is the first music superstar to be confirmed to perform at the new exhibition centre in Aberdeen.
The 71-year-old will be playing at The Events Complex Aberdeen (TECA) on the 20 and 21 of November 2020, the biggest act to be confirmed at the venue so far.
The site will be home to a “world class” 12,500-capacity arena when it opens next year.
Aberdeen’s TECA and Glasgow’s SSE Hydro are the only two Scottish locations selected for the music icon’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour.
Mr John said it will be “emotional” when he takes to the stage.
He said: “The Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour will take us to many places that have meant a lot to me over the last 50 years, but these UK shows will be incredibly special.
“The UK is home, and where my heart will always be.
“To celebrate some of the incredible moments we’ve shared with my British fans over the years will be wonderful.
“These homecoming shows will be very emotional, and a lot of fun.”
