A pervert who posed as teenage girls to entice young boys into performing sex acts over the internet was branded “utterly depraved” as he was jailed yesterday.
Rory Gill promised that he would get boys, some of whom were younger than 13, more subscribers on video-sharing website Youtube if they complied with his requests.
He communicated with them via Youtube and the Omegle social media platform for 10 months until the alarm was raised by a Youtube moderator.

The 30-year-old, of Burnside Road, Tarland, appeared for sentencing at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday having previously pleaded guilty.
Sheriff William Summers sent Gill to prison for three years and nine months and ordered him to remain on the sex offenders register “indefinitely”.
During a hearing last month, the court heard that police searched Gill’s home and found 462 indecent videos of children, with a total play length of 43 hours and 25 minutes, on a computer.
Of the videos, 52 were graded as Category A – meaning they were the most extreme.
Fiscal Jamie Dunbar said Gill would “communicate in a sexual manner with the boys, send pornographic images to them and induce them to engage in dares or challenges”.
He asked them to “remove clothing”, “dance naked” and perform a variety of obscene acts.
The accused pleaded guilty to acting as a female and sending written sexual communications to male children, some younger than 13 and some aged between 13 and 16, and requesting they perform various sexual acts between January 17 and November 12 last year.
He also admitted taking, or permitting to be taken, indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children, and distributing indecent photographs of children.
However, defence agent Liam McAllister pleaded for Sheriff Summers to spare his client a spell behind bars.
Mr McAllister said: “He thought that, by the nature of the deceit and the fantasy he created, that the young victims may not have known that they were victims.
“He now realises this was disgusting and abhorrent behaviour.”
Sheriff Summers told Gill: “You coerced these boys into carrying out explicit sexual acts on themselves and others, and some of the things you made them do were utterly depraved.”
