A woman has appeared in court accused of driving into a pedestrian at an Aberdeen retail park and failing to stop.
Shelley Crombie, of Kingfisher Way in Inverurie, faced two charges when she appeared in the dock at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday.
The 35-year-old has been accused of careless driving near the Burger King restaurant at the Queen’s Links Leisure Park on Tuesday, May 15.
Court papers allege that she drove at excessive speed for the road conditions, failed to keep a proper lookout, resulting in a collision with Emma Brown.
A second charge alleges that Crombie failed to stop after the collision, and failed to provide details of her name and address.
Crombie, who represented herself, did not enter a plea and the case was continued until December 4.
Police and paramedics were called to the car park at 1pm on the day in question after receiving reports a car had collided with a woman in her 30s, who was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
It is understood the woman was given an X-ray for suspected neck and spinal injuries.
