Little Mix will kick off their UK and Ireland tour at the new Aberdeen exhibition centre next year.
TECA – The Event Complex Aberdeen – will play host to the group in October 2019, after they announced extra dates for their ‘LM5 – The Tour’ due to popular demand.
The “world-class” facility, which has a capacity of 12,500, has already attracted big names including Russell Howard and Elton John.
Louise Stewart, Head of Entertainment at TECA commented: “We are so pleased to welcome Little Mix back to the north-east of Scotland, and thrilled they will kick off their tour at TECA.
“Attracting one of the world’s greatest girl bands to Aberdeen’s new venue is just the beginning of big acts to be announced at TECA. We look forward to opening next summer and sharing new live experiences with the north-east.”
The band’s outdoor concert at the AECC earlier this year ended in panic after fans began to get pushed up against the metal fence as security staff tried to direct people out the arena.
General tickets go on sale at 9.00am on Friday November 30. Tickets are expected to sell out fast, with all other Scottish dates already sold out.
