Emergency services were called after a fire ignited at Gordon Primary School in Huntly shortly before 3pm. Around 10 firefighters took on the fire, using a hose reel jet and other small tools to extinguish the flames. It is unclear which building the fire affected, or what caused it. Two fire engines were sent to the scene, one from Huntly and another from nearby Keith fire station. A spokesman for the fire service said: “We were called to Gordon Primary School at 2.57pm, and used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. “We are currently not sure as to how the fire began. “The stop message came in at 3.42pm.” Police were notified by the fire service and attended to assist.
