Police have cordoned-off a street in Fraserburgh follow reports of a serious assault.
The attack is understood to have taken place in the town’s Buchan Road area at around 10.50pm last night, near to the Co-op supermarket.
A 30-year-old man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
Detective Sergeant Martyn Thomson said: “Inquiries are ongoing and I would ask that anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or has any information in relation to it, to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 4049.”
