Gary Mackay-Steven receives treatment after suffering a nasty head injury
Aberdeen manager Derek McInnes is hopeful Gary Mackay-Steven’s injury is no more than concussion.
The winger was stretchered off following a horrendous clash of heads with Celtic defender Derdryck Boyata five minutes before half-time and there were concerns he had suffered a serious injury as he was taken to hospital.

But the initial diagnosis was more encouraging by full-time.
McInnes said: “Thankfully Gary is OK but at the time we were worried about him.

“I saw his family at the dugout and we got word to them he was unconscious but thankfully he is sitting up in hospital. He will have some tests but hopefully it is just a straightforward concussion and he will only miss the next game.”
