A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with alleged thefts and road traffic offences that occurred in the Stoneywood Brae and Bankhead Road areas of Aberdeen yesterday.
A stolen car was also recovered and it is believed a number of items within were taken as a result of the thefts, which took place between yesterday afternoon and the early hours of this morning.
Detective Sergeant Bruce Buntain said: “As a result of our inquiries, we have recovered items that we believe to be stolen, including power tools, sunglasses and money.
“We would urge residents in the Stoneywood Brae and Bankhead Road areas to check outbuildings and sheds for any suspicious activity and get in touch with us if you believe you have had any property stolen.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to remind motorists to not leave vehicles with keys in the ignition or unlocked, especially at this time of year where vehicles may be left running while being defrosted.
“Anyone who believes they’ve had property stolen or who has not already spoken to officers should call police on 101.”
